…about
‘ The World is a book and he who does not travel reads only one page.’ – Augustine of Hippo
This blog is an attempt to make sense of tens of thousands of things I have written whilst working in foreign countries, living in foreign countries and travelling. It is also my intention to actually write some of the things that circulate in my head whilst I am wandering. I have spent most of my life wandering and I intend to spend the rest of it wandering. I realised last year that I have invested far too much time, money and effort into wandering to let everything sit in my head. I have also had the good fortune to visit and photograph some amazing locations. I hope that this blog can be informative to people who don’t want to travel, and I hope it can be inspirational to people who want to travel. In theory it’s a travelogue, but I often get caught up in things which are far removed from actually travelling. My posts may vary from serious contemplation to anything that I feel deserves to be mentioned. It is without clearly defined genre or purpose that I hunch over a laptop and type whatever comes into my head. Although I am currently based in Korea the posts are by no means limited to Korea. My basic philosophy or code is to see things in the spirit of adventure and exploration. The photo was taken after a year travelling, I use it because it reminds me of the elation I felt on returning home safe. You never truly appreciate home until you’ve been away.
On that note, I leave you to read as little or as much as you choose. If you don’t read much then rest assured that I write this primarily for myself. If you read a little then I welcome any comments or wisdom you wish to share ………………………..Miike
Nice one Mike. Good choice of theme by the way..
Hey Miike,
thanks for linking to Kojects! I just discovered your website. I wish you happy travels in Korea and the world 🙂
Hello Nikola,
Thanks for your comment. I’ve been following your kojects site for quite some time. I have more information than most Korean these days about things going on with subways, trains etc. If you get any more news on the Sagajong to Cheongyangri project let me know – it may influence my future choice of house!
